THE VALUE OF TEAMWORK

Many tasks become easier when people work together. Teamwork allows individuals to combine their different abilities and experiences. A person may be very good at planning, while another may have excellent practical skills. When they cooperate, their combined efforts can produce better results.

Successful teamwork requires communication. Members of a team need to understand their responsibilities and share information with one another. They should also listen to different opinions and resolve disagreements respectfully.

Teamwork does not mean that everyone must have the same ideas. Differences can actually help a team discover better solutions. What matters is the willingness of members to cooperate and work towards a common objective.

26(a). Why can teamwork make tasks easier?
26(b). Mention two things team members should do to communicate effectively.
26(c). Why can differences of opinion be useful?
26(d). What is more important than having identical ideas?
26(e). Give a suitable title for the passage.

SECTION C — SUMMARY WRITING

Read the passage and answer the questions.

Exercise is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Regular physical activity can improve fitness, strengthen the body and help people maintain energy for everyday activities. Exercise can also provide an opportunity to relax after spending long periods studying or working.

Students can include physical activity in their daily routines in simple ways. They may walk, participate in sports, cycle or take part in other activities that involve movement. The activity chosen should be suitable for the person’s age and ability.

Consistency is important. A person does not need to exercise for extremely long periods to benefit. Regular activity combined with adequate rest and a balanced lifestyle can support general well-being.

27(a). In three sentences, state three benefits of regular exercise.
27(b). In three sentences, state three ways students can include physical activity in their routine.
